Projects

Mineral exploration and project development

Eastern Zinc controls over 45,000 hectares (112,700 acres) and 2,282 mineral claims across 12 exploration projects within Canada. The Company is positioned as one of the leading zinc exploration companies in Canada. The Company’s New Brunswick and Newfoundland properties are located within a volcanogenic massive sulfide deposit (VMS). These types of mineral deposits occur in tight clusters, so there is a high probability that the project’s mineral claims hold widespread zinc mineralization since adjacent projects include operating mines with significant mineral resources and reserves and zinc production. The Company’s Windsor Basin Project in Nova Scotia is located adjacent to a past-producing Mississippi Valley Type (MVT) lead-zinc deposit that is fully permitted and could restart operations at anytime. Eastern Zinc’s eight properties in British Columbia and the Yukon have strong historical drill results and are in close proximity to each other meaning efficient and lower cost exploration.
